5 Ways to Use 5 Toys: For Families With Infants
Those early days, weeks, and months with our babies are incredible and intense. We put so much pressure on ourselves to “get it right,” and all of us - at some point - have felt that we’re “doing it wrong.” The adventure of raising tiny humans is an ever-changing landscape of highs and lows, and we often feel that just when we’re “figuring it out,” everything changes.
This resource was created to give you easy, actionable, developmentally impactful ideas about how to play with your baby with a single toy. The toys selected were those five most commonly enjoyed toys deemed worthy by parents and caregivers of infants all over the world within the Strength In Words audience.
These include: soft toys, play mats, stacking toys, musical instruments, and mirrors. Each of these items can be found in any home, and can be made from everyday objects (as you'll learn within this resource), so there's no need to go out and purchase "the best," most expensive version possible. There's also no need to feel any sense of guilt or failure if you haven't or cannot purchase one or any of these for your precious bundle.
As you know, the true power of a toy often lies in the interaction.
Strength In Words is a company that values education, community, respect, and simplicity. Our mission is to support parent education and promote caregiver-baby interactions.
